Prayers for Eric John - Softball Tourney Benefit
Piedmont physicians and staff were proud to take part in a softball tournament held this weekend to benefit the family of Sgt. Eric John, a Macon-Bibb County firefighter who was critically injured in the line of duty this July.
Although the Piedmont team was defeated in their morning game, they bested the team from Coliseum E.R. 17-5 later that afternoon.
Piedmont then went on to beat a formidable team of Monroe County Firefighters.
Piedmont's final game was a quick one. The Benchwarmers, who eventually went on to win the entire tournament, run-ruled us in the third inning. Piedmont ended up finishing fourth in the tournament. We'll take it!
The most important thing is that we had a great time with each other, being a part of this caring community, and supporting one of the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day to help keep us safe.
Piedmont would like to take this opportunity to thank service men and women and their families. Thank you for your sacrifices and for everything you do for us on a continual basis. If you would like to learn more about how you can help the family of Sgt. Eric John, visit their Facebook Page, Prayers for Eric John.
